Established in 2006, Event Production Services provides high quality technical production to events across the UK.  Starting life as an audio supplier, EPS has grown to cover all aspects of event production, including sound, lighting, staging, AV and power distribution.  EPS can provide rental equipment, sales, installation, servicing, production management and consultancy.  Traditionally much of our work has been based around the small/medium festival market, and we are well set-up to service these customers.  However, as we have grown we have also expanded into corporate events and theatre.

Location

From our base in Oxfordshire, just off J7 of the M40, we are well placed to travel nationwide.  In around an hour we can be in central London, on the South Coast, or near Birmingham.  These excellent road links mean we are ideally located to looking after your events, and can service last minute alterations with minimal lead time.  Our fleet of vans allow us to service numerous events.

Training and Qualifications

All our team leader crew are qualified and experienced in their chosen field, and many have added voluntary industry recognised qualifications to their skill set.  We also recognise the importance of training the next generation of event crew and work alongside Southampton Solent University on numerous events to give real-world experience to undergraduates.  We have also successfully recruited from Solent’s courses on numerous occasions.

EPS are constantly reviewing and updating our policies and method statements, be they Health & Safety, Environmental, or Equal Opportunities.  We strive to ensure we have appropriate, current training and certification for the sectors in which we work.  We have a policy of continued training and staff development for our employees.

Robert ran his first disco when he was 11, raising £100 for Oxfam in the process.  Throughout secondary school Robert was involved in the technical aspects of the school plays, and in sixth-form he began his first business with a friend, providing discos and sound reinforcement.  From 2002 Robert studied Audio Technology at Southampton Solent University whilst simultaneously running the Students’ Union radio station, DJing in the Student Union bar, working as sound engineer in local venues and sitting on the Students’ Union Executive Committee.  Upon completing his degree he began working as a trainee Project Manager for a broadcast installation company, before forming Event Production Services in 2006.  After numerous ‘splitter van’ tours as FOH sound engineer with local bands the business naturally progressed into a rental operation.

Robert lives on the Oxfordshire/ Buckinghamshire border with his wife and a cat.  In his occasional spare time, he enjoys cycling and playing squash, and DJing.  Future aims include learning more about acoustics, self-building a house, and working less.
